SARASOTA GEM LAB is an expert independent appraiser, Richard has been active in the gem and jewelry industry since 1980, and a recipient of the GIA Graduate Gemologist Diploma in 1985. His experience includes seven years “hands on” education from a “master” third generation gem and jewelry dealer, and 12 years ownership of a fine estate jewelry store. Concurrently, Richard has been appraising steadily since receiving his GG in 1985.

In 1999, SGL became solely an independent laboratory that engages in neither buying nor selling.
